Crying over a discontinued lipstick? Can’t seem to find the right shade of lip color? Those days are long gone, thanks to Bite Beauty, a wholesome cosmetics line where bite refers to makeup fresh enough to eat as each product is loaded with organic ingredients.

Pre-made orders once handcrafted in Toronto, Canada and sold to Beauty Superstores like Sephora are now available at their new SoHo shop with on site beauty consultants granting clients the opportunity to concoct their own special blend of lipstick.

Choose from textures like matte or sheer, fragrance options from cherry to peppermint, superfruit or violet. The creation process (about 7 to 8 minutes) is a visual wonderland, where a pigment develops in a mixing cup, fragrance is injected, the molding process begins and finally you’re very own brew deposited right into a lipstick tube.

National Makeup Artist Mario Penailillo joins the Chanel team and brings Jesenia’s Goodie Bag in for an exclusive look into the hottest trends for Spring/Summer 2013.

In Mario’s own words, Springtime is all about warmer, vibrant color in rich corals and peaches. For eyes, he recommends adding a touch of drama with blues, greens, golds and roses and eyeliners are a good place to start or go full-on with eye shadow color. Introducing summer-ready lashes in jade and yellow with Inimitable Waterproof Mascara, these limited edition hues also range from pops of aqua to cobalt blue.

As we approach Summer, Mario reminds us to keep the fundamentals of Spring, using the same corals and peaches, but this time mixing them together for a textured look. Global Makeup Artist Michel Coulombe joined the Laura Mercier team to unveil the newest Folklore Collection.

According to Coulombe, Spring/Summer 2013 is all about whimsically rich and neutrally earthy shimmery bronze-gold color for eyes and skin.

With Illuminating Eye Colour in copper, gold and deep brown, Michel suggests wetting the eye shadow for strong eyes. For a softer approach, he advises to keep the eye shadow dry.
