Fashion Week crossed over to Brooklyn and housed a class of stylishly glam, totally functional collections.

LaureLuxe Metal Couture Jewelry is a body’s perfect glove. Before the launch of her brand, this Pratt Art Institute grad designed for top-notch Designers, from Oscar De La Renta to Calvin Klein, Cynthia Rowley and Michael Kors. A-list clients also include Grammy legend Cyndi Lauper, pop diva Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and actress Mila Jovovich. Laurel’s jewelry line up was like a musical symphony, elaborate from beginning to end. The kickoff began with an awesome pair of funky studded sunglasses. Ode to Ancient Greece came in the form of a modernized sphere-head necklace. More intriguing styles followed in a leather & tassel shoulder pad, dangling accessory chain piece and wide-belt with badge décor. Deep sea came to life in a three-tone scale shoulder necklace. Breath-taking adornments mounted over evening dresses; a black beaded draped shoulder necklace, followed by a gold fish-net draped shoulder necklace. Grandeur numbers sashayed down the runway; a full-bodied black beaded armor and equally charming, a gold headpiece with matching full-bodied metal mesh suit. The finale included more epic ornaments with a metallic silver chain & scale helmet, two-part scaled breast-plate and cuffs.
