The British are coming!,– with a sweet invasion, bearing cult-favorite Illamasqua makeup, in this 2-day launch event extravaganza, hosted by Illamasqua Founder Julian Kynaston and Creative Director Alex Box. Julian Kynaston began the night with an important message, “Illamasqua doesn’t need celebrities, the consumer understands Illamasqua, and I am honored to be at the biggest retailer; Bloomingdales.“
The company’s motto is direct and concise:

Alex Box entered the stage in an elaborate kimono, entertaining the crowd with a makeup presentation to the sound of instrumental music. Like a scene from a fairytale, Box’s brush strokes brought color to life, with speckles of sparkle, fanning lash extensions, cascading liquid droplets, neon pigmented lips, purple facial shading and gold dusted arms. The second model (with her teal blue, lime green and hints of deep tones), resembled a helicopter glimpse of lush mother earth, a truly avant-garde art-based style of makeup application.
Jesenia’s Goodie Bag tapped into the beautiful mind of Alex Box. Her favorite lipstick is undeniably Box Red, a deep scarlet red with a matte finish. Red lips have always been her thing long before her signature shade came into play. Alex’s inspiration for makeup presentations derive from her playlist, imagination and jazzing things up with ethereal imagery. Julian Kynaston was particularly proud of the eau de parfum evening fragrance Freak, boasting a unique blend of exotically eccentric notes, from Black Davana, Opium Flower and Belladonna, to Poison Hemlock, Datura and Queen of the Night blossom, with subtle aromas of Frankincense, Oud and Myrrh. The result is a passionate scent that lingers like a forbidden kiss.
Just in time for Halloween comes the Illamasqua Halloween Transformations. Choose one of four faces and an Illasmaqua color specialist will transform you to Lady Raven, Madame Prudence, Ruby Snow or Zerlindah. The makeup counters at Illamasqua feature some of the coolest eye shadows in pastel green, grayish metallic, lavender, rainbow and moss.
