Dior Beauty celebrates the age of excess with a special tribute to the extravagant 18^th century French Queen, Marie Antoinette, with the Spring 2014 Trianon Collection. 5 Couleurs Trianon in Pastel Fontages is a five shade palette holding vibrant colors in baby blue, vanilla yellow, dusty pink, metallic silver and espresso. For a dramatic look, wear together, or for a subtle approach, wear separately.

Ricky Wilson divulges to Jesenia’s Goodie Bag a refreshing take on decoding Pastel Fontages for the everyday woman. “These pastels actually wear quite soft,” he states reassuringly, ”so applying any shade with a nude interpretation will translate into a transparent wash of color.”

Ricky recommends choosing a darker shade, then accentuating it with any of the lighter colors and limiting eye shadow application to about two complimentary colors. Majestic like the palace garden at Versailles, the pigments in Pastel Fontages complement any skin tone and work well with any age type, for a Springtime look that’s anything, but boring.

Four new colors were added to the Diorshow Fusion Mono Matte – Long-Wear Professional Eyeshadow collection in Nocturne (shimmering black), Celeste (light lavender-pink), Fantaisie (warm pink), and Mirage (taupe). “Lavender-pink is universally flattering” Ricky explains. For the beauty-curious, he advises introducing the Celeste color onto the lash line (acting as eyeliner), followed by mascara. For intermediate beauty-lovers, Ricky suggests covering the eyelid with Celeste and adding a neutral color at the crease.

Other Spring 2014 Dior Beauties to consider: Rouge Dior lipstick in Rose Crinoline (coral) & Allegresse (fuschia), and Dior Vernis nail polish in Perle (frosted pink), Blossom (orange-coral), Bouquet (coral-pink), Pampille (mint) and Bloom (fuschia).
