Kentaro Kameyama – Fall 2018 – Ready-To-Wear Collection

(VenueAngel Oresanz Center) (DateThursdayFebruary 8th)

Kentaro Kameyama returns to the Big Apple to rewin the hearts of New Yorkers. The Season 16 Project Runway winner unveiled his newest fall collection to a packed venue of fashion influencers. The classical pianist California designer relied heavily upon mysteriously rhythmic piano melodies to set the tone for his runway presentation. Inspired by Japanese aesthetic and poetic themes, Kentaro introduced novelty garments in a methodically executed color palette of crisp whites, whipped creams, intense blacks, eye-catching chartreuse yellows and vibrant magentas. Eloquently fashioned belted belled tunics, avant-garde blouses, and more carefree styles in loose camisoles, cropped shirts, sweater tops and spaghetti strap maxi dresses. Whimsical apparel manifested in tulle and paint splatter separates. Wardrobe staples included skinny pants, leggings as underlay, and wide leg trousers, with more formal designs in pleated, fitted and flowing styles.
