(Venue: Angel Oresanz Center) (Date: Sunday, February 11th)
The Monnalisa collection, a delightful ensemble of retro themes and contemporary classics. Little models emerged down the runway to the 50’s tune of Tennessee Ernie Ford & Kay Starr “You’re My Sugar.” Yacht ready boy’s fashion included polished blazers coupled with button tops, graphic tees, striped shorts, white denim and printed neck scarves. Girl’s resort inspired separates featured tropical floral motif, ruffles and bell sleeves, pleat skirts, nude tulle, lace and checkered styles, and pearl and sparkle accents. Dress designs displayed intricate hand stichting, white orchid, swan, heart shape, bows and feathering detail, antique gold sequin, tulle underlay, married with capelets, satin and leather jackets, and netted head bands. Show concluded to the 40’s hit “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” by The Andrew Sisters.
