Nita Belle’s Closet couturier, Jen Hajtovik, created a fiery collection for fashion week. Music group Miami Sound Machine emanated from the speakers to the Conga song. Models’ fresh faces were painted in jewel tones, their hair fashioned in braided styles and high bun up-do’s with playful earrings on display. Vivid runway looks emerged in scarlet reds, bright yellows, shimmering metallic, and striking leopard print. Dresses, jumpsuits and separates featured exaggerated sleeves, one shoulder designs, bow and ruched detail, delicate floral and jewel embroidery with metalized beading. Pearlescent and glossy fabric were fitted and flowing, mesh tulle ruffled, and skirts caped. Animal print underlay and accessories were peppered throughout. Showstopping pieces included mirrored outerwear.
