(Venue: Pier 59) (Date: Saturday, February 10th)
Custo Barcelona delivers his latest collection with the skilled precision of an expert mixologist, an Ibiza cocktail that is one part intoxicating, one part erotic, served shaken not stirred, to New York Fashion Week. Custo Dalmau married varying intricate fabric textures with shocking patterns and bold prints. Figure-hugging dresses featured plunging necklines, cut out accents, high slits and elegant butterfly and peacock adornments. Concealed pieces included Haute athliesure and holographic separates. Metallic, sequin, mesh and baroque textiles dominated the runway in pastel, neon and opaque hues. Outerwear was equally extravagant, Dalmau spared no expense as he lavishly styled oversized bombers, puffers and long coats with fringe, fur and tassel motif.
