Hailed as one of Asia’s most sought after designers, Lan Yu’s visionary creations shine brightly with its intricate photo-realistic Suzhou embroidery. LANYU apparel exudes charm and luxury with its romantically charged, fanciful designs.
For Spring, hair and makeup mirrored Chinese nobility. Hairstyles featured a center part, slicked back pony roped in tassel, paired with flawless skin and watercolor eyes and lips. Traditional jewelry dazzled in chunky wood strands, embellished with bead detail and black leather clasps. Two toned chokers revealed embossed Asian characters. Single ear earrings sparkled in mother of pearl, gold, beaded and dangling with matching stack bracelets.
Runway looks dawned a classic color palette of whites, brights and opaques. Wedding inspired women’s menswear fashioned in baroque and printed fabrics made headlines with tulle tiered cape accents, trains and belled pants. Hooded capes hung effortlessly over scoop neck dresses. Palazzo pants made a splash under cape dresses and sleeveless tunics, accessorized with woolly pashminas.
Lace, mesh and ruffles flowed. Statement garments emerged in mermaid, trench and robe dress styles with peekaboo underlay, and poncho and shearling outerwear. Asymmetrical, two tier and pleated dresses were exceptionally tailored in an array of sheered, belled, strap and hanging sleeves, draped in a ribbed sweater overlay with long wrap sweaters, and carefully fashioned zippers, lettering, stripes and oversized buttons.
