Date: Saturday, September 7th. Venue: David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center
Fashion connoisseur Adrian Alicea returns to New York fashion week with another tantalizing collection. Enchanting dance performance and Gregorian era Jazz beats from Fleur Seule filled the venue with delight. Gender fluid designs featured in The Seed of Adrian encapsulated Victorian-era style coupled with Persian influences. Lace, ruffles, and chiffon swayed and flowed from gentle strides down the catwalk. Color saturated the runway with radiant reds, warm magenta, luminous yellows, brilliant blues, glowing chartreuse, dazzling pinks, and transparent greens and oranges. Headdresses and long gloves appeared feathered or fringed. Carefully selected fabrics from metallic to satin, velvet to sheer, detailed zipper, fringe, harness and belt placement, with occasional signature logo. A Birkin-inspired tote and bucket bag made its first appearance as part of the collection.
