I heart Alexander McQueen!

Alexander McQueen

Alexander McQueen’s platform boots have graced the soles of individuals such as famed socialite Daphne Guinness, music artist Lady Gaga, model Heidi Klum and have even featured in editorial highlights for various élite fashion magazines. Since then, McQueen’s fancy footwear has left a major following; for Resort 2011, actress Chloe Sevigny created a clothing line featuring an inspired version of McQueen’s boots and even flirtylingerie.com has show-cased their own adaptation. For the average woman, these boots symbolize a fantasy too far-fetched to play into reality, but the secret to translating them to day-wear is just a matter of confidence and some accessorizing.

April Showers Bring May Flowers: The delicate, marbleized stone quality and bold hem of this trench works splendidly with the strong character of a McQueen boot. Pair with neutrals, brights and dark hue tops and bottoms.

Fringe: Very reminiscent of the 1920′s flappers but with a modern twist. Gucci makes these pieces very wearable. For a dynamic look, add the McQueen boot. For a subtle approach, try leather pointy flats or strappy heels.

Lovely in Lace: The yin-yang come into place when you compliment lace with the McQueen boot.

LANVIN (Fall 2011)

Ode to Old Hollywood: The appeal of a Grecian goddess encompassed in sparkle. To offset this intensity, simply add a tuxedo jacket and McQueen boots, making it more likely to befit many other occasions.
