Date: November 16. Venue: The Empire Room (Empire State Building)
It was a festive night with three exclusive fashion shows by Boho Designs, Maria De Guzman fashion and GiGi Carnett lingerie.
FROM THE RED CARPET
BEHIND THE SCENES
Boho Design duo Sharon Neal-Swilling and Davis Lawrence offer hand-crafted originals for those un-amused by mass-production. Statement necklaces in organic wood, layered tribal wear, fancy hoops earrings with matching necklace, tiger’s eye medallions, mineral bib chains, coral and seaside beading & floral chockers. Other necklace selections in seashell, fringe, metallic mesh, bubble stacks, floral-mesh & gemstone medallion, and draped jeweled chain knots. More elaborate pieces in chunky wood earrings, buttoned chockers, draped hoop necklaces, and leather & jewel embellished chockers.
MARIA DE GUZMAN
You can bank on Maria De Guzman to get the party started. Her collection of sultry mini dresses come fully equip in showstopping rich shimmery hues in moss green-gold, neon, an open-back in deep plum, lace & solid sleeveless sea-foam blue, a backless number in midnight-blue, and a rock & roll studded halter dress.
The Gigi Carnett collection taps into lingerie’s naughty nature and dubs as an after-hours poolside look. Evening colors were in abundance, starting with a dark gold & espresso strap-less bikini top and matching sarong, followed by a black bikini-set in purple speckles with matching sarong. A maiden’s touch in a lace bustier with leather bikini bottom and sheer-embroidered sarong. Flirtier styles in a bronze bikini top and sheer floral sarong. Hearts palpitated for a zigzag metallic espresso bikini one-piece. Dominatrix flair encompassed in a purple shimmer tube top with latex straps and leaflet bikini bottom, and an ode to original sin in a strap-less metallic leaflet bikini top with matching bottoms.
