Nathaniel White aka Nene of Nene L.A. Shiro Fashion is no stranger to the fashion scene. An overachiever with a niche for hand-made luxe, Nene’s clothing line caters to both Men and Women.
While still enrolled at the High School of Fashion Industries, Nene solidified himself as a household name, collaborating with such retailers as Wet Seal, with features in Women’s Wear Daily and Good Day New York. Specializing in the mixing of color, fabrics and patterns, using bold and exotic themes, his clients are generally unafraid to express themselves stylistically.

Backstage at Nene L.A. Shiro the vast accessory and garment choices were all audaciously unique.

This particular event was a 2-for-1, equip with an Urban Ready-To-Wear and High End Fashion collection. During intermission special performers took center-stage and a battle for a Nene L.A. Shiro exclusive soon ensued with a Runway Face-Off between myself and three other contestants, won by yours truly.

Denim dominated the runway in fabric-trim and acid-washes, with classic-cut halter-tops and graphic tees.

Other venturesome pieces included harem pants in snake-skin, vinyl and patriotic, and a colorful pair of floral pants.

Leggings were of plenty, in shimmer and velvet.

Body-suits gleamed in tribal, patent and multi-pattern, and creative tops in polka-dot, mustard and cone-shape.

A few wildcards strutted down the runway; a festive candy-pink embellished bustier and tulle skirt, a shimmery poolside two-piece dazzler and a winter-preview fur jacket matched with a perforated blouse and leggings.

Menswear remained ultra-cool. Denim also ranged from color, to faded and acid-wash, with graphic tees, embellished tanks, British military jackets, a fur-trimmed v-neck jersey and equally endearing fur jacket, zippered-tweed, more harem pants and perforated wear.
