Date: December 20. Venue: WIP
Fashion photographers came in droves to the South Village, huddling together in the Press Pit for a delightful fashion event by designer Pamela Quinzi of Kilame, featuring Persian-Middle Eastern newcomer Bita Pourtavoosi. A talented beauty, Bita has a niche for handmade bridge jewelry with influences from Ancient Egypt to the Middle East, for statement pieces that garner effortless attention. Pamela’s line-up of playfully flirty tube dresses and subtle floral sequins design came in warm and cool colors, ranging from black, red and pink, greige-beige to greige-taupe, polka dot, coral and peach, with matching booties. Bita Pourtavoosi’s collection adorned the necklines, wrists and fingers of Pamela’s models. Dangling necklaces in gold, charcoal-gray and black, lovely beading, cylinder accents and studs, precious stones, stacked bracelets and bold rings. Among the crowd included a special guest, fashion designer Adrian Alicea of Adrian Alicea Haute Couture.
