“Dress for the career you want next, not the one you already have,” a piece of advice Ports 1961 Menswear Designer, London gentleman Ian Hylton recalls his father saying, which in turn gave him the gusto to turn the phrase into a menswear legacy.
Details magazine celebrates the Fall/Winter Collection of Ports 1961 with fruit-infused cocktails from Russia’s finest Beluga Vodka and eclectic beats by DJ Louie XIV, hosted by Details magazine’s Creative Development Director & Style Correspondent, Colin Stark. Inside the cozy atmosphere of Ports 1961 were some Autumn-friendly plum and green blazers with matching sweaters, muted suede jackets, pastel blue & black knit sweaters, top coats in classic heather grey & navy, peacoats in pastel blue, and all-black fur collared shearling coats. The Fiona Cibani women’s collection of graphic pumps were exquisitely artistic.
Jesenia’s Goodie Bag gets Colin Stark to dish the best looks for Fall/Winter, as he recommends a Ports 1961 black blazer with silk blue-collar, emerald-green suits & sportswear, and cowl neck sweaters & coats. For the man on-a-budget, he suggests high street retailer Topman. Foreseeing future trends, Colin predicts geometric shape prints and lots of color, especially subdued colors, for Spring/Summer 2014. He covers warmth and style with double-breasted, full-zip plaited, shawl collar & color-block crew sweaters, straight leg denim, and wool jackets & coats.
