Date: September 8th Venue: Gotham Hall
Pre-teen designer Liliana Mijangos unveiled her fashion label LC Couture during New York fashion week, a family friendly capsule collection for kids and teens. Young models featured assorted hairstyles, from loose locks to up-do’s. Makeup was a progressive gradient of fresh faces and romantic looks. Jewelry took a subtle approach with pops of dangling earrings.
Special occasion attire included prom night to sweet sixteen, weddings and debutante ball, in a diverse color palette of deep blues and greens, muted and vibrant pinks and purples, sorbet hues, and clusters of multicolor. Dress tops were plunging and backless, while sleeves were puffed, one-sided, sleeveless, and strap sleeve. We love the creative variation of dress types, draped in satin and velvet, from tube dresses, to two piece styles with bandeau tops, and a semi-sequin with mesh full bodysuit underlay. Dress skirts showcased front, side and back slits, long trains and tiered looks, adored with feathered and fringe embellishment, beading, sparkle and pearl accents, floral applique and lustrous prints. Touches of elegance included opera gloves, a netted shawl and decorative, cropped dress jacket. Guys fashion made a quick appearance in a tuxedo suit with matching bow tie.
