Victor De Souza introduced a Siren & Muses Collection at fashion week, inspired by ancient Roman goddesses and mythical creatures amid a picturesque Italian costal town. Models approached the runway with fresh faced makeup, dewy skin and sleek wet hairstyles, accessorized with a gradient color scheme of floral dangling earrings. Other earring looks featured diamond encrusted, pearl strands with matching necklaces, seashells, and gold chains. Crystal frame cat eye sunglasses showcased in sorbet hues.
A nautical color story filled with aquatic brights, earth-tone neutrals and romantic muted hues in satin and silk fabrics, dressed in assorted prints, from floral to gingham, two tone, baroque, and Ming dynasty blue-and-white design patterns, with iridescent, beaded and jeweled applique. Tops featured ruffling, capped and billowy sleeves. Fuzzy sweaters made a brief appearance. Skirts varied from pencil to long, mermaid and train styles, some with pleat backside detail. Trousers were loose, fitted and cropped. Shimmering tweed suits dominated the runway in cropped jacket looks, some with jeweled buttons, with cheeky matching shorts. Other jacket detail included open shoulders, hook & eye fronts, panel, fringe and zipper accents. A dress for every occasion, from casual to cocktail and formal. Oceanic handbags in seashell, pearl, leather and gold with chain and hardware accents. Tying the collection together was the launch of Victor De Souza’s fragrance with Navitus Parfums entitled “Splendeur Absolu,” a sumptuous mix of citrus, woody and musky notes, sprinkled with with spices, spirits, aromatic beans, even chocolate.
