Alex From Tokyo: Edo Pop Party

Date: Cinco De Mayo (May 5). Venue: Le Bain (at The Standard, New York)

The West Village was the place to be on Mexican Independence Day, celebrating the Japan Society Gallery: Edo Pop Exhibition. Up the elevator Jesenia’s Goodie Bag went and into the rooftop for a breathtaking view of the Hudson River and city architecture. The lights spun with the disco ball and champagne bottles popped by the lounge. The crowd was lively, thanks to music sensation DJ Alex From Tokyo, who electrified the room with hit after hit, from a disco version of Little Anthony & The Imperials “Hurt so bad” to Ollie & Jerry “There’s No Stoppin’ Us”  and so much more.
