Anniesa Hasibuan SS17 Collection : Jesenia's Goodie Bag

Named by CNN New York Fashion Week’s most groundbreaking fashion show, Indonesian fashion designer Anniesa Hasibuan featured a hijab friendly collection inspired by her hometown Jakarta.

Makeup was minimal as models featured nude faces with subtle contoured highlights and glossed lips. Headscarf styles came in a plethora of baroque print, metallic and jewel adorned styles. A diverse color palette of sheer and vibrant satin and silk fabrics. Nude peaches, beige and mints, hints of pinkish silvery violet combinations, magenta, antique gold and variations of grayish-taupe purples.

Shirts, blouses and tunics in flowingly fluid silhouettes with embroidered jewel and metallic detailing, reptilian printing, baroque patterned and multi-colored patchwork in a tasty color palette of nude yellows, translucent greens, barely there pinks, pale blues, royal golds and fawn hues. Skirts were whimsical in bluish and fairy green, majestic in ivory and sand hues.

Dresses were coupled with blouses, kimonos and pants, in rich olive green, metallic and blush colored fabrics, some in v cut style with jewel trim and bronzed striped accents. Loose pants were of plenty in nudes, lush greens, washed blues, fruit and berry, metallic bronze and multi-hued, with elaborate prints and sequin stitching.

Jackets and kimonos were intricately fashioned with Swarovski crystals, jewels, pearl beading and delicate floral embroidery on a train of satin, lace and baroque print fabric in a mix of subdued yellows, pinks, mints, corals and blues, and multifaceted bronze and gold. Deeper tones included a wine burgundy color.

Outfits were paired with exquisite t-strap boot heels in tan and nude suede. Carefully curated accessories included pearl embellished sunglasses, metallic and muted scarf belts, and an array of furred, fringed, tassel, pearled, crystallized, gold, coral, olive and minty green accented necklaces in bib, medallion and intertwined styles.
