Global Makeup Artist Michel Coulombe joined the Laura Mercier team to unveil the newest Folklore Collection. According to Coulombe, Spring/Summer 2013 is all about whimsically rich and neutrally earthy shimmery bronze-gold color for eyes and skin. With Illuminating Eye Colour in copper, gold and deep brown, Michel suggests wetting the eye shadow for strong eyes. For a softer approach, he advises to keep the eye shadow dry. Among other long-wearing eye shadows, Coulombe reveals Caviar Stick Eye Colour in eight new light-capturing shades. These roll up pencils deliver an easy application for a fine shimmer that’s totally wearable. Using cobalt and teal, Michel demonstrates how Crème Eye Liners are not only pigmented, but water and smudge resistant, and with the custom-made short-handle Angled Eye Liner Brush, one can deliver precision with a head tilt for a tug-free, hassle-free application. Other crème liner hues include indigo, violet, espresso and noir. A childhood favorite all grownup, Lip Crayons glide on easier than a tube of lipstick and deliver an equal dose of lasting color in three summery shades, fuchsia, orange pink and deep brown. Most importantly, Coulombe insists no skin regime is complete without the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Crème Compact. Twelve skin-matching shades, fully equip with SPF 20 for touch-ups that suit your everyday makeup routine.
