Date: September 11th Venue: Prince George Ballroom
Nicole Tracy Clothing presented a delightful collection for New York fashion week. For hair and makeup, models wore slicked back styles, semi-smokey eyes, defined cheekbones, naturally tinted lips and polished nails. Subtle and statement jewelry coupled well, we loved the use of dangling earrings, delicate necklaces and curb link chains. An impressive color palette with pops of lime green, cerulean blue, canary yellow and tricolors, juxtapositional to neutrals and hints of purple.
Soft flowing fabrics dominated the runway. Tops were plunging, knotted, v front, one shoulder and asymmetrical with varying sleeve lengths. An array of bottoms included cropped, ankle tie and palazzo pants, along with a twist detail skirt. Track suits and jumpsuits appeared briefly. Knee length dresses fascinated onlookers in asymmetrical, turtle neck and draped styles, some with rolled up sleeves, fashioned with peekaboo, side slit and brush stroke print detail, occasionally paired with a shawl. Wrapping up the collection was the introduction of one-piece swimsuits in bold and tropical designs, with low-cut necklines, matched with shawls, button-free blazers and kimonos. Each look stood complete in strap heeled sandals or open-toe platforms. Menswear closed the show in a navy blue track suit.
